Our Story
PURPOSE:
Northside Baptist Church is a baptized body of believers whose purpose is to glorify Christ and share God's love through worship, discipleship, ministry, and missions.
BASIS STATEMENT OF BELIEF:
Our core beliefs and mission come directly from the Bible which we believe is the inspired Word of God. The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message (http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/bfm2000.asp), which we believe is derived from the Bible. The members of the church voluntarily join together as a baptized body of believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation with all people. Northside is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention but retains the right to be self-governing in all aspects of the life of the church. The membership of the church consists of people who profess saving faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and who have experienced the spiritual conversion to the Christian faith as set forth in the New Testament. The ordinances of our church are baptism and the Lord's Supper.
